Celebrating The Musical Life Of Howie Hooper

Celebrating The Musical Life Of Howie Hooper
Co-Hosted By Paul Kent and Christophe Elie
Friday, June 2, Ottawa

Howie Hooper was a much-loved Ottawa singer/songwriter … a mentor to many … known among his peers as a good-natured and engaging character. Although his music focused primarily on country, Howie’s songs also spanned contemporary folk and Americana genres. His songs were stories that embraced everyday lives, feelings, and dreams … transposed into unique lyrics and melodies.

Sadly, Howie passed away due to cancer last May 30th, 2021.

A special tribute to Howie will be held on June 2nd featuring local Ottawa area musicians who will each perform a cover of one of his songs, or a song in honour of Howie and, importantly, raise funds for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.
