FMO Conference Day 1 Digest

Welcome, Conference Delegates!

It's Day 1 of the Folk Music Ontario Conference!  We’re so glad you could join us for this exciting event. Please see below for important information on today.


HOTEL SHUTTLES start running at 3:30pm today, and will be running from morning to late-night each day of the conference, with stops at the Quality Suites, Holiday Inn, Super 7, Lamplighter, and Park hotel, to bring folks to and from the DoubleTree. This is a free shuttle for conference goers! Click here for the full schedule.

REGISTRATION is your first stop at the conference. Head to the ballroom on the second floor to find the registration area and get your badge!  The registration desk is open from 2:00pm to 10:00pm. 

The OPENING RECEPTION starts at 4:00pm and you’re invited! Join us in the Grand Ballroom on the 2nd floor for networking, a welcome performance from the Eagle Flight Singers, refreshments  and opening remarks. 

GET DEALS ON DINNER! Thanks to the great folks at Downtown London, you can show your badge at participating downtown restaurants and businesses to receive discounts! This year we’ve factored in a 2-hour dinner break every day starting at 5PM, which should get you back to the hotel for showcase start time. Click here for a list of participating businesses.

SHOWCASES will be starting at 7:00pm SHARP in Windsor Club on the 2nd floor and Suites 100, 200, 300 on the 3rd floor!  Check the showcase schedule above for more information on who’s playing where and when.

MERCH is available for purchase in the registration/information area!  There are lots of fun designs and ideas… Purchase your swag at the conference and save 20% on t-shirts and 10% on sweatshirts!

MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT is available for all conference registrants both in-person and virtually. You can book a one-on-one session with a therapist from Feminist Therapy using this LINK, and drop-in to join the group sessions lead by therapists from Fire Brand Therapy, see the schedule HERE.
