The Brampton Folk Club’s next Friday Folk Night is January 26th, when we present Blues Night, with Rick Fines, backed by Roly Platt and Alec Fraser. Rick Fines is an engaging storyteller and songwriter and has won many blues and songwriting awards. Steeped in roots music, Rick Fines crafts a unique blend of warm-hearted blues, juke joint folk, and dockside soul that both embraces and defies the genres that influence him. Opening act: The Glenn McFarlane Trio

The concert will be held in Sanderson Hall, at St. Paul’s United Church, 30 Main St. South, Brampton starting at 7:30, with doors opening at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $22 Adult, $20 Students and Seniors, and are available at the door, at the St. Paul’s church office, or through the City Theatre Box Office. The concert is wheelchair accessible and free parking is available at City Hall as well as the condo at 6 John St across from the church.
