Brian Tremblay will be releasing the first single from his new album on April 30 called, Steel Ponies. The song is part of the concept album, The Neighbourhood: Songs & Stories of a Blue Collar Raising. Steel Ponies is one of the many songs that tell of Tremblay's life growing up in the blue-collar section of Sault Ste Marie called Steelton.
"Our bicycles were our horses and motorcycles," said Tremblay. "Our bikes got us everywhere and back again." One bike in particular was his favourite. The metallic green CCM with high handlebars, a banana seat, and a sissy bar. The Neighbourhood will be released on May 16 at a Signature Concert put on by the city of Sault Ste Marie at the North Branch library. “I hope you can feel the wind in your hair and remember the glorious feeling of riding your bike as a kid.”
