Bella Frances: Edge of the Blue
The second single from Bella Frances' debut EP sees her wading in the waters of her sensitive, imaginative nature. "This is a special song for me," Bella says of the track she worked on with Rob Szabo, "It's one of those songs that hit me full on as I was just waking up one morning and demanded I run to my guitar."
Edge of the Blue draws heavily on poetic and metaphoric lyricism, exploring the experience of losing touch with someone through the image of a sailboat drifting away, going so far that it eventually returns. "You seemed to sail over the edge of the blue/ right into the horizon/ but the world isn't flat like they thought that they knew/ you'll come around if you run far enough," Bella sings on this vulnerable track.
